I came to Mizzou from the warm shores of Nokomis, a small, sleepy town on Florida's Gulf Coast. I'm a second-generation resident of that area (a somewhat rare feat), and I attended Venice High School in nearby Venice, much like my mother did many years before. At VHS I was involved in VTV and our school's newspaper, "The Beat." So it was only natural for me to come to one of the world's best journalism schools! My cat (pictured on the bottom right, in case you couldn't figure that out) goes by "Pinky." I am a fan of the Chicago Cubs and my hometown Tampa Bay Rays. Follow me on Twitter: @cgothner

I'm a sophomore sports broadcast journalism major at the University of Missouri looking for a way to get paid to talk about sports. Currently, I am the vice president of the Phi Delta Theta Missouri Alpha Chapter. I'm originally from Paradise Valley, AZ, but my sports allegiance lies with the the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia. My name is Abbey Theban and I am an animal lover from Tulsa, OK. As a photography junkie, I love taking pictures of my cat, Shadow. As you can see, he's very photogenic. I am a sophomore at the University of Missouri and when I'm not in class pursuing my journalism career, I like going on adventures, eating Italian food, and lip syncing to any song on the radio.
